1941 Dress pattern 96 cm (37.8") bust
The original description in the magazine, when translated into English, is similar to… “Large moden’ pockets decorate this simple afternoon dress that is styled in the ‘jacket-form’. Wools and silks are suitable fabrics to work with.”.
The high neckline, buttons and the small belt decoration make the front interesting and stylish!
This dress can also look like a suit, and with some pattern adjustments and extra facings, it could be made as separates.
It appears that the Front-side panels, which have the pockets on them, lay over the Front Skirts - and they may or may-not have been attached. This is quite an era-specific design; therefore, I present the pattern in its original form for experienced dressmakers to style and interpret.
