A fun summer blouse from 1939. The top part of this design features gathers at the front and back necklines. The fitted waist panel is decorated with scallop-shaped seams. The sleeves are a simple cut-on style. The neckline has a small collar and a slit at the centre front (not easily visible in the original sketch), which fastens with a small button and loop. A lightweight fabric, such as a soft cotton, muslin or a viscose is recommended.
