1939 Swing Coat 88 cm (34.6")
Also available as a PDF pattern
A short swing-back coat from 1939. Very smart loose jacket in checked wool fabric with front and back yokes, which incorporate cut-on sleeves. One of the great design features of this coat are the two back pleats that provide extra volume so that the back really swings nicely. The original sketch accentuated the top part of the coat by placing the yoke-sleeve on the bias check. The front welt pockets are practical and help make this a really smart and versatile jacket for autumn.
