A mid-length coat with classic 1940s styling; wide shoulders and A-line shape. Contrasting fabric is used for the yokes, the front button-stand and down the centre back. This design will also look great by reversing the blocking - instead choose a plain fabric for the main coat and a plaid for the yokes and trim. Whatever styling you choose, don't forget to include shoulder pads to obtain the 1940s square shoulder line.
