1941 Dress 96 cm (37.8") bust
Also available as a PDF pattern
A day dress from 1941, something a little more special! This pattern features a elegant high neckline and asymmetrical shirring and gathers that diagonally cross the bodice. Long sashes/ties, which are attached to the mid-sections, shape and define the midriff and their ends tie together with a large loose bow on the left side. The flared skirt has three gores, which flare out on the left side, beneath the bow. The short sleeves are slightly puffed at the sleeve-head and do not detract from the other more dominant features of the dress. In the original sketch the dress is styled with a classic high and round hat.
