A fun summer blouse from 1939. The top part of this design features gathers at the front and back, which joins a shaped waist/hip panel with decorative scallop-shaped seams. The sleeves are a simple cut-on style. The neckline has a small collar, and the centre front has a silt (not easily visible in the original sketch), which can be fastened with a small button and loop. A lightweight fabric, such as a soft cotton, muslin or a viscose is recommended.
