A high impact Art Deco styled long coat. The design lines that feature dominantly on the front also follow around the sides and over the right hip; these lines are actually small stitched tucks. The narrow kimono style sleeves slim elegantly to the wrists. It was originally described as being sewn in white linen, but a variety of other thicker fabrics could be used; or alternatively, the curved sections could be separated and pieced (the original pieces are 'whole') and the design lines accentuated with contrasting textures and fabrics. The decorative curved lines could also be accentuated with piping or heavy stitching to make them stand out.
